The Mining Company Manages Licenses with Nodify Flows.
Overview
Mining is one of the industries where strict certification is required. Anyone involved in the processes must be certified. Managing the certification of the drivers of the vehicles used in mining was an issue. The engineers were not always on the job sites. The certification generation was a manual process and Excel files were used to generate the licenses. With the help of Nodify Flows, the process was moved to digital. The engineers were able to approve wherever they were,and the licenses were repared at the site the drivers were. The approved licenses were generated for printing using Nodify Template Processor. Nodify EDMS was used to store and keep the old licenses for certification audits.
Key Outcomes
- The licenses were generated by the IT department. This was a manual task before. They were generated automatically after approval. The templates could be updated according to the changes in requirements easily.
- The signatures were also printed on the licenses.
Challenges
- The dependence on Excel templates was a serious issue as there were limited standard in the generated licenses.
- The photos would be printed on the licenses however they were stored in the database.
- The connection between sites were not always fast enough to transfer all required data.
Solution
- The process was designed and configured by Nodify Flow Designer.
- Data entry parts were configured with Nodify Form Designer.
- Nodify Template Processor allowed the IT department to be to use their own templates with minimum effort.
- Nodify Scripting used to retrieve the data required to generate licenses.
- The generated licenses were signed and stored in Nodify EDMS module and were accessible to all users having the appropriate permission.
